BROCCOLI

Tips & tricks: Plant 40cm apart & water in well. These varieties are 'sprouting broccoli' types, meaning you get 1 small main head followed by lots of smaller but tender side shoots. Also known as bimi or broccolini, the whole stem of the shoot is edible along with the flowering head. So don't remove the plants after the head has been harvested!

Make sure you harvest consistently to stimulate new growth & do not let the flowers open, otherwise the plant will start going into seed production mode, which means less broccoli for you. Later plantings will keep producing through the entire winter & the leaves are also edible.
