Tips & tricks: Cucumbers are normally best grown indoors in our damp Dutch climate, but there are some varieties also successful outdoors. Growing them up supports such as fences or trellises saves you space & minimises the risk of fungal disease. If growing vertically you can space them much closer, something like 40cm apart. Removing lower leaves & side shoots as the plant grows can be an effective way of managing disease risk by promoting better airflow.
Pick the fruit often to stimulate more production, & don't let any get too big or it'll such up all the plant's energy!
