Tips & tricks: Plant out 30-40cm apart. Watch out, these can get pretty massive!

Pinch off the tops of the stalks at the point that they are still tender & easy to snap off. This also encourages further growth. Leaves, stalks, flower heads & seeds are all edible!

Variety: Huauzontle

Description: A Mexican native also known as Red Aztec Spinach in English. The plant grows with upright branches & red-tinted green leafy stems. The leaves can be used as a spinach replacement, whilst the un-opened flower clusters are considered a delicacy.
